Preschool & Early-Start 2023-2024 Enrollment
Thank you for considering Notebook Learning Center as your child's educational and learning school. We are partners with KY All STARS, 4-C's, Handwriting With Out Tears, Color Me Healthy, Highscope, and School Sparks Curriculum-based learning. The children learn through experiences and hands-on learning in developing social, emotional, and cognitive skills. All children enrolled must be completely potty trained to attend Preschool or our Early-start Classroom.
Early-Start 101
Welcome to Early Start 101. Be prepared to watch your child grow each day as the knowledge he/she acquires better prepares them for their preschool year.
Your child will have a nightly task to complete three times a week at home. We want lots of family involvement; the more involved in your child's learning experiences the more successful your child will be.
Planners will be filled out daily on how well your child is doing and notes may be written on behavior or progress. Please initial each day that you read the planner and ask any questions you may have.
Backpacks, planners, a medium-sized blanket, and a crib sheet are required daily. Please no pillows. We ask that you keep an extra set of clothing in your child's tub which is located in the bathroom. If for any reason your child has an accident and they do not have clothing or sheet/blanket then your family will be charged a $10.00 laundry fee for each incident.
We will have parent conferences to discuss your child's progress and answer any questions you may have in the fall and spring. This may determine advancing them to the preschool room if they turn four through the year if availability is open. When your child moves to a different classroom it is determined by development, not age. Some children are not ready by age four and may need an additional six months to a year to become ready for advancement.
Our teaching hours for Early Start are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Your child may attend prior to 8:00 a.m or after 4:00 p.m. Please ensure your child is here daily unless they are sick. Naptime is 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Early Start schedule is posted on the parent board; located in the locker area for more information.
